At Kansas City Sailing we teach all levels of sailors, from those who have never been
on a sailboat to those who have sailed their whole lives.

Through our close affiliation with Perry Yacht Club we are able to offer American Sailing
Association (ASA) certification at the following levels:

    Basic Keelboat (101)
Learn to sail a boat of about 20 feet in length in light to moderate winds and sea conditions in familiar waters.

    Basic Coastal Cruising (103)
Learn to cruise safely in local and regional waters as both skipper and crew on an auxiliary powered sailboat of
about 20 to 30 feet in length, in moderate winds and sea conditions.

    Bareboat Chartering (104)
An advanced cruising Standard for individuals with cruising experience. The individual can act as skipper or crew
of a 30 - 50 foot boat sailing by day in coastal waters. Includes knowledge and maintenance of boat systems.

    Coastal Navigation (105)
Learn navigational theory and techniques necessary to safely navigate a sailing vessel in coastal or inland waters.

    Advanced Coastal Cruising (106)
Learn to safely act as skipper and crew of a sailing vessel about 30 to 50 feet in length during daytime and
nighttime, coastal and inland water, in any weather.

    Basic Small Boat Sailing (110)
Learn to sail a centerboard or multihull sailboat in light to moderate winds and sea conditions in familiar waters
    without supervision.

We continue to offer personalized individual sail instruction during the fall and winter
months.  For more information call 913-579-5039.
