We are a Laser Performance dealership. We sell their full line of boats, sails, hardware, lines, and parts. We provide brief descriptions of their entire line below, and if you want more information please visit the Laser Performance website. Sunfish The Sunfish is the most popular boat ever produced. It combines performance, stability and durability in a package that appeals to beginners and experts alike. The Sunfish sail requires just one line to control and the boat can be set up in less than 5 minutes. The patented kick-up rudder system allows full beach landings with no problems. The hull and low sail plan provide unmatched stability and a forgiving feel. The Sunfish hull is light enough to throw on top of your car and the bulletproof Vanguard construction ensures that your Sunfish will provide years of virtually maintenance-free enjoyment. And if it's racing you crave, the International Sunfish Class sanctions more than 1000 events each year. The elegant simplicity, performance, and intelligent economy of the Sunfish is unmatched. And finally, the Sunfish enjoys fantastic resale value. Laser It's no secret that many of the world's top sailors perfected their skills in the Laser. Olympic Medalists, America's Cup Helmsmen, and Collegiate All-Americans all raced the ultimate one-design. With over 170,000 boats constructed to date, the Laser is the Gold standard in single-handed, one-design sailing. Every Laser in the world is identical. Strict class rules guarantee that it is the sailor, not the equipment, that makes the difference. Laser racing is a true test of skill. The hull shape, blades, and rig combine to create the ultimate racing machine. The Laser is a challenging boat that rewards athleticism, subtle steering and trimming techniques and tactical excellence. It's no wonder the International Sailing Federation awarded the Laser Olympic status! Optimist Designed for sailors weighing 50-120 lbs., the Optimist Dinghy has become the world standard for introductory junior trainers. Optimist sailors learn the essential steering and sail-trimming skills necessary to continue in the sport of sailing. With a simple rig and a light, durable hull, Vanguard Optimists have become the #1 choice of junior sailors. The Vanguard Optimist has been proven safe through years of tough use in instructional programs around the world. The flat, square hull and manageable rig are stable in all wind and sea conditions. Each boat carries three flotation bags, guaranteeing a buoyant, self-righting boat. The light-weight hulls are easily manipulated by instructors in a safety boat. The same Optimist Dinghy that introduced thousands of kids to sailing each year provides a world of sailing opportunities as sailors advance in racing skill. With over 150,000 Optimist Dinghies actively racing in 85 nations, the Optimist is one of the largest and fastest-growing classes in the world. Young sailors can race at the club, regional, national and world levels as their skills develop. Laser Bug The Bug is a fantastic new Laser Performance boat. Their newest product, the Bug has just arrived in North America. The Bug is a great small performance dinghy perfect for Kids learning to sail or the experienced sailor who wants something a little more exciting and performance-oriented then the alternative. In addition, you can row it or motor it. It’s even a perfect boat to pull behind the cruising boat for the customer to use when they get to their cruising destination. Club 420 Twenty years ago Vanguard developed the Club 420 in response to the growing need for a more durable, high-performance, double-handed racing dinghy that could stand up to the rigors of club and collegiate programs. Ideal for crews ranging in size from 220-310 lbs., the Club 420 is manageable for sailors coming out of the Optimist class and enables young sailors to learn teamwork, trapeze, and spinnaker techniques. The stable, forgiving hull is built tough with reinforced fiberglass, high impact bumpers, and a simple, untapered rig. The Club 420 is simple and safe for beginning sailors and yet quick enough to keep collegiate All-Americans interested. Club FJ The Vanguard Club Flying Junior (CFJ) is sailed by more collegiate sailing teams than any other double-handed sailboat. Also popular as a junior trainer, the CFJ is a light, tough, agile performer that is available with or without a spinnaker package. Especially popular on lakes and rivers, the CFJ tacks and accelerates quickly, making the best use of restricted sailing areas. Its large comfortable buoyancy tanks ensure that the CFJ is both self rescuing and safe. With a tough untapered mast, external halyards, and a simple layout, the Club Flying Junior is suitable for optimist sailors and college All- Americans alike. Vanguard 15 The Vanguard 15, designed by Bob Ames, the double-handed one-design boat of the future, is here today delivering high speed and fun in a simple, durable, lightweight package. The V-15 is the perfect boat for sailing in your local yacht club fleet, international caliber team racing or knocking around with the family. The V-15 is lighter, tougher, easier to transport, and more fun than any other boat in its class; and, like all Vanguard boats, it affords you access to all the knowledge, support, and service that Vanguard has become famous for over the past 25 years. Nomad The Nomad represents a new category of sailboat that combines superior Vanguard performance with ease of use for two to six people. Designed by Bob Ames, designer of the Vector and Vanguard 15, the Nomad is unlike any other daysailer on the market. The Nomad combines performance, stability, and durability in a package that appeals to beginners and experts alike. One of our goals for the Nomad was to design and build a boat that sailed very well but which also had creature comforts one might associate with bigger boats. There is plenty of room for adults, kids, and storage for all the gear that comes with them. Zuma With a cockpit almost 7 feet long, the Zuma has room for two adults or a small gang of kids. All the deck fittings are recessed, and the seat tanks are shaped for comfort. Look forward to years of maintenance-free fun, no storage hassles, and easy transporting since the Zuma has a light-weight hull and a flat deck. It also has a kick-up rudder, self- draining cockpit, water tight compartment for storage, an easy to handle sail plan, and a high boom (with plenty of head room). |
